2) Post the most overpowered character (or weapon or skill or etc.) in that game.

Predator Warrior
His dive spear is arguably the most overpowered move in a beat em up ever. Excellent damage, excellent crowd control, extended vertical hitbox, and most of all, invulnerability. The thing is that he'd still be the best character without his dive spear.
>>11814591 (OP)Maniac Mansion
Bernard Bernoulli
If you pick him his skills enable the easiest and less risky endgame solution (you don't even need to go into the lab), as well as cool alternate endings for a couple other solutions.
He does have token weaknesses compared to the other characters, but only come into play once in the game (or potentially twice depending on the version)
>>11814591 (OP)His dash punch covers a huge area. Both physical (hitbox) and spatial. He's just much better than the already great Mustapha.
>>11814745Problem is he looks both stupid AND boring. Anyway I always pick either Mustapha for his moves or the girl acause she's hot
>Aria of Sorrow
>Claimh Solais
I have a love-hate relationship with the Claimh Solais. I love the sword itself, but I hate how it makes all other weapons irrelevant and you can get it so early and easily.

>>11814751I did 100% AoS but I can't remember whether that one was comparatively as OP as the Crissaegrim in SotN
>>11814754The Crissaegrim (Symphony) is more powerful, but the Claimh Solais isn't too far behind and you can get it much, much earlier. Aria's Crissaegrim/Valmanway pales compared to it.
>>11814754Crissa is great, but the best weapon is the ROD because you can get it in the first castle. Not to mention that the ROD is so useful, the only thing you need to know is the inputs and that's it. Another good early weapon is the bat form.
>>11814754What made the Cris ridiculously powerful was the fact that you could use it without it restricting or altering your mobility in any way, which the CS does
>Lifeforce Tenka
>Double Laser
I'll take an easy one,
Final Fantasy 1, Masamune even the white wizard hits like a truck with it.
>>11814591 (OP)Grand Upper is more broken than Max. Max may be faster and more powerful overall but you need to actually play well to pull that off.
With the Grand Upper you don't need to play well, the only thing you need is decent timing, and you can easily spam it against literally EVERYTHING in the game. and it's a single move, unlike Max.
>>11814591 (OP)Max is even more obscene in remake.
https://youtu.be/oLzclefInkA
>>11814878I don't really remember the first CoH as much, but I remember the Easy 8 being a broken powerhouse on 2. On release, you didn't have to tech at all to get it (So you saved 180 fuel building infrastructure that you'd need for normal tanks) and its gun was effective against infantry and tanks just the same. It was like a Tiger on a much more fragile chassis that came out way earlier and in higher numbers.
>Final Fight
>Cody
He's also one of the strongest characters in the Street Fighter lore.
>Twisted Metal 2
>Minion is intentionally the most OP, but Axel gets an honorable mention
>>11815928Definitely. Axel's ramming damage is too good.
>>11814591 (OP)Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories (PlayStation)
>Monster: Meteor B. Dragon>Spell: Megamorpth>Trap: Widespread Ruin
>Bionic Commando
>Rocket Launcher
Not only is this the most powerful weapon by far, you can acquire it very early on. Every other weapon, including the underwhelming Joe's Machinegun, feels like a downgrade.

Dekar in Lufia 2. Dude gets a unique weapon that no other party member can use, with a unique skill that deals 50% of an enemy's current HP.
It can't miss, it proccs 100% of the time, all you need to use it is to fill up your IP gauge which is completely trivial. This attack also works on bosses, which means Dekar is capable of hitting for several thousands HP worth of damage in a game where your best fighters will at cap out in the high hundreds per hit.
>God Hand
>that drunken fist attack that has tons of invincibility and ducks attacks
If you've played GH you know which one I mean. I beat all super bosses with that move alone
>Growlanser 2

It's baffling how they made a ranged character be able to hit enemies literally across the map in a strategy RPG
>Wizardry 6 and 7
>Ninjutsu, the stealth skill
A combination of bonus backstab damage, increased range, complete physical damage immunity, total immunity to single-target spells, and partial immunity to aoe spells. And hiding costs nothing other than a turn spent to do so. If you class change, you also get to keep it. It's just bonkers.
>>11822760Oh yeah, you're right. Obviously Mewtwo (and Mew) are way better in unrestricted play. So is abusing sleep when there's no sleep clause preventing you from putting more than one Pokemon to sleep.

From the absolute noob level to the ASL, mass Carriers = instant win.
Caveat: only against Terran at the top level, and that's if you get there. It's still way too powerful for how easy they are to use.

>Game: FF6
>Most OP character: Gau
Gau has a skill called Rage, which enables him to mimic the skills and attributes of monsters he encounters. He has two Rages that completely break the game.
The first is Stray Cat, which lets him use an attack called Catscratch, which quadruples damage, which is already great. One drawback is he cannot equip weapons... usually. However, through the use of a relic called the Merit Award, he now can. Now, there's a weapon called the Tempest, which has a 50% chance of casting Wind Slash, a mid-level spell that attacks all enemies. If you give Gau this weapon and have him use Catscratch, the random Wind Slash spells will also quadruple in damage, turning it into one of the strongest attacks in the game. Best of all, if you also give him an Offering relic, which lets him attack four times in a single turn, he can potentially use Wind Slash up to four times in a turn, which kills pretty much everything. This setup is known as Wind God Gau, and it was deemed so OP that every port after the original SNES game prevented Gau from equipping the Merit Award.
The other Rage, Nightshade, lets him use an attack called Charm. This attack is like Muddle/Confuse in that it makes an enemy hit itself and other enemies instead of your party, but unlike Confuse, it's completely unblockable and there's no way to get rid of the status, so once it's cast, the enemy it's used on is completely helpless until it's dead. Charm works even on bosses, including the final boss, so it's essentially an insta-win attack.
Aside from all this, Gau is one of only two characters who can obtain perfect physical defense, so physical attacks do nothing to him. His only real drawback is once you use a Rage, you cannot control him, and he has a 50% chance of using a regular physical attacks instead of the special skill you normally want him to use. Even so, I think these two Rage skills make him the most overpowered character in the game.

Alien Soldier, Lancer Force.
You have to aim. In exchange: uncontested damage, no resistances save for a single boss, screen-wide range, and its sniper-esque nature means you can move freely for the most part. If you feel like kicking this game's ass you'll pick 3 lancer 1 flame.
