>>11815728 (OP)My legit copy is sitting on a spindle somewhere with a bunch of burnt Saturn CD-Rs.
>>11816059>>11816175I've had it since launch and played it concurrently with the other games circa 94-97 before I got a PS1. I thought it was worse than Sonic 1 and 2, but better than 3 and Knuckles. All my friends thought 3 and Knuckles was the best one and thought Sonic CD (which only I had) "looked cooler than 1 and 2" but wasn't as good as 3/Knux. I'd argue all the games have good level design, and it's unique to each game, but that Sonic CD did the exploration thing way better than 3/Knux which has some really really bad exploration levels with confusing gimmicks and vertical looping.
One thing I never see mentioned in old Sonic discussions, kids back in the day had no idea the last level of Sonic 2 and several levels in Sonic 3/Knux looped vertically. We just thought those levels were confusing and bad and just kinda took paths till we got through. If you have a map it's easy to understand, but as 7 year olds it was very confusing.
