Does anyone else hate Yoshi's redesign from World to Island and beyond? He used to look like a Flintstones-esque dinosaur, and now he looks like some kind of cutesy anthropomorphic frog.

The thing that bothers me most about newer Yoshi is his weird high-pitched voice. In SMW and Mario Paint he sounds like a machine or something, which is weird but in a cool way. When he starts sounding like a human baby he also starts to annoy me. A big animal like that should have a deeper voice, and preferably a very inhuman one that does not form words in human languages.

Also in the Gamecube era sports and party games it was a lot more useful to have Yoshi be mostly human shaped to have him play tennis and drive cars. So long arms, short neck, and big hands were needed.

The sprite is already using the colors his arms should be. The reason why they're orange is probably the same as why Link's hair is pink in ALttP: To make them stand out
