The problem with video game magazines was they were constantly bullshiting.

You can't play Q2 on P133 in sw-mode. Unless you call 320*240/15 frames "playing".

People considered 320x240 at 15 fps to be acceptable, yes. They did on N64, and they did on PC, too.

I and many others played PC games like this back in the day. The framerate meme is more of a modern phenomenon.

Funny thing is just add V1 6Mb to that P90 and Q2 becomes playable.

yes
and it was a P120
but i was also able to play through all of Doom on the SNES so i probably just have a high tolerance for that kind of thing
