Has this ever happened to anyone else? This has to be a glitch. Marauders killed marauders to take over my temple? Luckily the Chaos champion died so I just swung in and took over his stuff but in all the years I've played i have never encountered this and now that city is practically useless. Oh, and LoM thread.

as for MOM's neutral barbarians, they tend to get killed by wandering monsters in harder difficulties, leaving the map covered in ruins.
in 1 game, the Myrror map had zero neutral towns, lots of ruins, by the time i casted the Awareness spell to reveal all towns.

This game was the HEAT back in the late 90s. It was one of the defining experiences for why my gaming PC was worth the money, as it could do things consoles could only dream of. I had a lot of fun slowly conquering the map though I don’t remember it much.

Turn based strategy with a mix of real time.
It's pretty fun.
I however always cheated because I was a scrub kid and like to build powerful guys with spells.

I should play this again, haven't touched it in probably 25 years

I've had it happen before. Someone else took my temple and my town would no longer function, so I had to reset. It's why I basically always went straight for the temple first when I played.

I try to get my temple ASAP but I'm playing on hard so It takes longer to have my forces ready. Last campaign I played as an Order Ranger on hard and my temple along with a bunch of Mauraders had a lvl 8 Demon in it. I had to conquered the Water temple first then build up a small army with lizard men before heading back.

I know its basic but Order is my favorite faith. Paladin Lord along with level 6 Knights is very OP. Too bad about the Legendary creature tho. Could be cool but it starts out at lvl 5 in the late game? Horrible.

Its fun. You build up your faith nation, take over other faiths, study magic, train soldiers, clear dungeons, etc. Game isn't perfect but its worth your attention and has tons of custom options. You can even build your own world map to play on.
