The weird thing is that always fixed it. But I think it was really just reseating the cart that fixed it.

Personally when I blow on my Famicom carts there's a 99% chance they work fine right after, and I usually reseat them multiple times before that. Big gaming says it doesn't work so you'll ditch the retro systems altogether and just buy the roms they sell to you on their modern systems.

Generally this, in rare cases humidity was temporarily forming a better connection but this also accelerated corroding the connections too.

Thinking back, it made no sense to do it. If the dust buildup was so bad that you could just blow it out like that it would have to be utterly caked in dust. A fine layer over the contacts would need to be wiped off, blowing would not remove it, and that's IF the issue is dust which 99% of the time it was not.

>B-but you're corroding the contacts with your damp breath!1!

I've literally blown in hundreds of carts and never had that issue. Maybe stop spitting on them?

>I've literally driven my car thousands of times and never been in an accident so clearly seatbelts are not needed

Do you realize how dumb it is to try to argue "Well, *I* never had an issue (that I noticed) so clearly it's a non-issue"? I have literally had people argue that there was nothing wrong with Windows ME because it never crashed for them, you are using that exact same logic right now.
