This was such an interesting and compelling custom game that weirdly nailed down so many modern game design features. I feel like it would fit right in today - both as just an independently enjoyable game, but also popular with Streamers.

I absolutely loved Dark Deeds but the balance was kinda crap as a high level peasant was basically invulnerable. Then someone made a really crappy new version and people somehow didn't realize it wasn't by the original creator. So many "whodunnit" games have come out now and Dark Deeds is still the best

i simply stayed in game after losing and studied how the leading guy did it. you could look up a guide. i think the optimal mazing forced things run through it 3 times or something. it ended up looking sort of like an icecream scoop by being a spiral sitting in a big V. the hardest part was getting at least 3 "hold" slates and placing them close enough together that the damage test thing at the end would get stuck for extended periods of time as their timers alternated, but i did manage to win a few times. it ends up becoming dull because its so "solved" after that though.
