For some reason that I can't explain I prefer '97 over all the other titles in the series.
Though I'm just a filthy casual who knows fuck all about how any of these are supposed to be actually played.

97 is just cooler. It has a unique atmosphere, perfect classic KOF roster and sufficiently advanced gameplay compared to the previous games.
And its intro is immortal
