Any cool older Windows games that are fun to play with a flight stick?

Using joystick instead of mouselook with WASD on keyboard is an absolutely GOATed way to play shooters.

Fury3 and Hellbender are a good time with a Joystick. Also the MechWarrior games, especially MW4.

any motorbike racer plays really well on a flightstick and just feels right because of cornering, this needs to be common knowledge.

Get two programmable joysticks, setup one for aiming and the other for moving. Play the pic.

Windows has an abundance of older Flight, Sub and Space sims that are fun with a flight stick. Off the top of my head:

Wing Commander Prophecy
X
Darklight Conflict
X wing vs. Tie Fighter
Tachyon: The Fringe
Microsoft Flight Simulator series
F22 Raptor
MiG Alley
Aquanox
Archimedean Dynasty
Sub Culture
Hardwar
Flight Unlimited series
Jane's Combat series
Red Baron series

Bruce Campbell voicing the MC steals the show. Soundtrack is also pretty good.

God, I know. Imagine if Bruce just stuck his massive dong down your throat and rapidly fucked your mouth until orgasm, it would be so kino. Just imagine him saying, "Hail to the king, baby" right as he ejaculated and proceeded to pound lumps of white-hot cum into your esophagus.

OP did say "older windows" probably meaning "I don't wanna hassle with Dosbox" But Descent has excellent source ports these days and if OP is using a Win9x machine then DOS would be little to no issue. So sure why not. If we are adding DOS titles then you could also throw on Wing Commander, Terminal Velocity, and Earthsiege.

OP asked for Windows recs, otherwise as >>11829094 - I'd have mentioned the whole WC series, X-wing, Tie Fighter, Privateer I and II etc.

Descent would have also been there.
