Remakes would be an easy example, stuff like Master of Magic coming out with the exact naming. Even the new Resident Evil games put "remake" in the title.

That's a case of justice being done. They tacked the Pool of Radiance name on for recognition (odd because it came out more than a decade later) and it didn't work, no one remembers it.
It isn't that bad though, I've played worse.
