I found and was told to keep a SNES a few days ago. I've desoldered the broken power jack and the replacement arrives tomorrow. What games should I grab for it? I'm a PS and Sega Genesis person so I don't know the library beyond the really big titles

Since you're a Sega person I stuck to arcade and arcade-ish games. Some of these games are expensive so a flashcart / bootleg might be the only reasonable option, games that could use patches mostly to fix slowdown or for translation are separate.

You caused some damage but nothing too difficult to fix. Make sure these connections are bridged, the through-hole via close to the edge can still make contact but removing more mask will give it a stronger foundation to adhere to and prevent future issues.

Double check the polarity when you install that its probably fine but why risk it.

I wouldn't tackle anything I cared a great deal for without being sure I could do it, but those things might (for some reason) mean a deal to someone else. OPs SNES meant just enough to give it a whack, it'll probably be fine in the end. It's not anyone else's business to give a shit.
