Never loved the word or how it's treated, there's an weirdly exaggerated implication of moral failing associated with it. I already loved playing classic SF2, and Alpha 2 just felt right playing it the first time. There's a sort of rhythm to the gameplay which just meshes well with me. I think what took it over the top, personally, was someone on some forum in SRK or GGPO recognizing my M.Bison as my main despite my scatter play with all non-grappler characters. I guess Zero 2 may be better than Alpha 2 because a lack of Evil Ryu, not only from my hatred of the Ansatsuken practitioners, but there are unique gameplay properties which only apply to the character, which every other character has to adjust to. While I pass that knowledge check, it kind of becomes a slightly different game when specifically facing Evil Ryu. I prefer both Zero 2 and Alpha 2 over Zero 2 Alpha or Alpha 2 Gold, primarily due to balance changes which buffed the already best characters and nerfed everyone else.
