The levels are much more expansive than the first game. Even the first ground level you'll be wandering around the underground labyrinth until you figure out the fast path to beat the level. Then you have using your jet boots to go up the tree tops. I'm sure you can spend less time in a play through when you get the levels down pat, but it is up to you if it's even worth doing. First game has much better flow when it comes to level progression.

It's not, I find it a pretty enjoyable experience, only played through it for the first time last year.
Like >>11828529 1st one does flow a bit better in level progression, but I still find 2 worthwile. I mean, I got my copy for 5 bucks last year and I'll be honest I'm very happy with that.

Yeah the design is worse. Less warning before cheap hits. Some levels take like 15 seconds to beat

Yeah, you die a lot but the game goes so fast the stand out moments of bullshit is stuff like the mini-game.

I only ever beat the first level once. I need to pick up a copy and beat the game so that young me can smile again.
