So a while ago i bought pic related and Holy Christ is it hot trash, my saves get deleted and corrupted too, i also have to run it through some program so it can read the roms, but thats not what bothers me, its the fact that i cant play a game without it getting sent to hell and back and my saves end up in Narnia
So i wonder, is there a better option that is not only good for my wallet but for my games too

Try this firmware instead, don't need to "prep" the ROMs with it:

EZ Flash Omega Definitive Edition. Costs around 80 bucks, works with everything but gyro and sunlight games, and isn't a piece of shit that deletes your saves (unless you turn it off right after turning it on when it backs up the save)
Don't buy from EZFlashOmega.com they are scammers run by alltechgear

I've heard that this is the best choice before but goddamn that price scares me, is it really worth 80 bucks to play a bunch of 8mb games?

it does when some of the games are very expensive.
drill dozer is the best example. but since the omega de has rumble, you get more or less the same experience as an original cart.
more or less only because the rumble feels different, but still excellent. i own both, so i can compare.

with superfw eeprom and flash games save directly to the sd card.
sram games save either at next boot or once you exit to the menu via the hotkey.

i have a ds lite version wurks good, read the instructions, you need to press a key combo to back your save up to sd, otherwise loading another game will overwrite the save

the ds lite version i have will load large roms like kingdom hearts which is 32MB, i think the downside with these carts is the sd card size which i think is 1gb max possibly 2gb, it also used the old type micro sd cards which are hard to come by.

only had issues with slowdown on sonic advance, and darius R wouldnt load, maybe a bad rom, good thing about this cart is the NeoDS emulator i have on my R4 cart can make use of the supercard as ram for the emulator, a lot of neo geo games work well, the supercard will also emulate gameboy.some colour games, master system, nes, pc engine and i think thats it

I just got mine. It does the job and it does it well. I am rather impressed with it in all respects except the build quality. I have a GBC Everdrive and it mogs the shit out of the EZ Flash cartridge for build quality, legit the thing feels like it could fall apart in my fingers.
Still worth the money in my opinion.

I don't agree, it feels pretty solid to me. I have the EZFlash Omega DE in regular transparent and an ED GB X7 in transparent from krikzz.com next to each other, and they seem pretty much the same in plastic quality. Neither really flexes anywhere but the long thin side of the opening for the pins. EDGB is a little thicker. The only thing I really prefer is the SD slot on the EDGB being the satisfying clicky kind, whereas the Omega DE is just the slide-it-in kind. Either way Omega DE is still the best for playing GBA and EDX7 is best for GB.

Only partially related, but I have a Supercard DSTWO (plus?), the out-of-production king of DS flashcarts, and the build quality is very lacking. DS is a thin format to begin with but damn it's fragile. You can't even snap it into a DS case or it will fall apart and you have to pry out the pieces and snap it back together and hope it isn't fucked. It's good at what it does but damn.
Then there are the 3D printed cases that are out there.

Aye I had forgotten about the micro SD card slots, and yeah I agree there. To each their own I suppose. Like I said I am pleased overall with mine, but it does feel a touch flimsy to me, would still buy it again for the price though so it can't be that bad, but I'm certain that it matters to some autist on this site.

metoo. i saw it on a chinkshit website. ended up buying an overpriced old 2GB SD card for it because it could not read anything higher. can't even play GBA pokermans with it. it was a decent GB emu cart though.

>Supercard DSTWO
i have 2 and never take them out, you can take out the micro sd without getting the dstwo out of your 3/ds.
but you are still right, i would have a third one, but the first i bought kicked the bucket because reasons. still have it, it may just need a reflow and now i'm more knowledgeable about this kind of thing.
