I hope they get taken down for this blatant copyright infringement

Oh boy. A licensed platformer game based on a cartoon. Definitely worth preserving.

If this actually got released it would've bombed, the production value is awful and the game concept probably wouldn't click with kids.
It's a platformer / point & click adventure hybrid with a tiny ass font on a small screen, with blown-out colors to overcompensate for low visibility.

Like, the opening cutscene's first screen has to break the first paragraph into two boxes, with the second box consisting of a single word.

That takes exceptionally poor planning or lack of QA to let that sort of thing happen. Just rewrite it to squeeze it into a single text box.

Did Konami know about this?

Buddy they don't make cartoons for kids like animaniacs. If you have no relation to the show move on and go back to /v/

Literally just remove the word "Tonight", especially since that scene takes place during the day.

That Genesis game is one of my favorites, this game doesn't look good though.

That is a contender for the least legible font I've ever seen in a video game, and I'm saying that having seen it from a computer monitor.

I doubt they'd care since they don't actually own the copyright to that game or its assets.

A point and click... I love those, but they suck on anything that isn't a PC due to the whole "clicking" aspect. There was a Tiny Tunes game that also suffered this. Was a point-and-click made for PC, got ported to PS1 and was heavily modified to have platforming sections that are practically unplayable with how bad they are because the engine was never designed for platforming. This would have worked a lot better on a PC, they wouldn't have needed that weirdass dialog screen either since they would have had enough resolution to show the dialog right there instead of that weird screen it changes to.

They also for some reason re-designed the beanstalk from just being a normal beanstalk in the PC version to some random mish-mash of every object sewn together onto it like some Frankenstein reject.

Shocked they made a point-and-click at all in the GBA era. That genre even on PC was quite dead by that point.

>Literally just remove the word "Tonight", especially since that scene takes place during the day.
>"What are we going to do tonight?"
>"The same thing we do every night, try to take over the world"
Was somewhat the catchphrase of those two characters, so I can see why they would not want to take out the word Tonight, but it definitely could have been re-written better to fit in one screen.

Holy fuck what an eyesore, had to resize it to even be able to read it. Did it look any better on a CRT at the time?

>>11835301
Pretty sure even though they don't own the IP they would have some rights to the assets they made, unless WB keeping the rights to those was also part of the contract.

i'm not sure if kids would have even known what animaniacs was at that time. I'm 34 and feel like I was too young to really appreciate that cartoon. By 2001 I had forgotten it even existed.

The only network that was even airing Animaniacs in 2003-2005 was the Nicktoons channel, a channel most people didn't have access to
