I want to crash the collector's market. It needs to fucking die. Enjoy the $5 and $10 Saturns dudes.
Fuck off, frog posting retard.
Scalpers buy your shit for $5 and resell it for $100. Sorry about your dumb.
>>11836225Japan is an endless gold mine of shit. I buy 1 yen sales of vidya and sell it to American collectors for $5 to $10. Shipping isn't as expensive as you think.
We will kill the collector's market together!
>>11836173 (OP)There's a guy near me who sells CRTs for like $25-50 and refuses to sell to anyone he thinks is a scalper/hoarder or asks to buy like 5
We're in an area with a lot of "CRT FOR RENT! $25/hr" ads and not many used sets laying around, so it's very based
Thanks brother
>>11836416What do you mean CRT for rent? How the fuck does that work? Couldn’t you give a minority $50 to go “rent” the CRT for you and then never return it?
>>11836462The shipping services simply won't let you buy it. You can't be a nigger in Japan.
ITT: Things that never happened
>>11836173 (OP)Thanks for leaving me a good margin to resell.
>>11836173 (OP)Thank you anon, but you're ruining the japanese market (based cause it's not my market)
>>11836173 (OP)I think it’s pretty easy to manipulate the market. I saw some video where a guy bought up a ton of copies of some cheap and common Game Boy game (Rampart I think) which caused demand and prices to skyrocket and he just sold them all.
>>11836983I remember hearing about that, I think he made the game go from like $5 to $20 just by buying up all the copies on eBay. I don't know what he sold them for, but I believe it was just meant to be an experiment so he probably sold them for cheap.
>>11836983That's what the metaljesus type fags do. They find some obscure but relatively cheap game with a low print run, buy a shit ton of copies of it, then make a hidden gems video about it, wait a few years, and then before you know it their golems inflate the prices and they cash in.
>>11836462Wait a second you might have an idea here
But yeah go look at CRT listings in Los Angeles and you'll see what I mean. A lot of it is them renting them out for people to use as music video/movie props, but it fucks the market just as badly
>>11836173 (OP)That's a good thought, but charge cheaply enough and there's a 95% chance the buyer is a reseller. And if you buy too much from Japan, you just contribute to driving up the Japanese market
How does this crash the market? You're just some random nobody.
>>11836993>plasticJesusSucksI hate that unfunny rubberneck faggot so much
Unless you're buying them in person in Japan, you're still paying the outrageous international shipping fee.
>>11837019I don't know about now since I haven't imported in a while, but I used to be able to get games shipped to the US from Japan for like $5 max with the caveat of having to wait a month to get here. I could get Famicom games for like $0.99 and then pay $2.50 for shipping. Great times.
>>11836173 (OP)Thanks guy post eBay I’d so I can come buy stuff from you
The $5 Saturns come from the Junk section of places like Hard-Off, and if you're fixing them and selling them for less than $50 I seriously doubt you're smart enough to actually fix them.
The real play is buying ones that are scrapped because broken cases/CD drives/fried backup RAM, fixing absolutely nothing, sticking them in a 3D printed case with a saroo and selling them for $100 as an "Pre-Modchipped ODE Saturn." You won't make as much money as the Chinese tho cuz you can't make your own saroo.
