Does anyone else find it cringe how the media and fans discuss games like this? I doubt the makers of this game wanted Mario games to cease production, and this effort was probably more likely inspired by a desire to create something in a similar way. It's only in games where I see this too. I've never seen anyone refer to Coltrane's Ascension as being a Coleman Free Jazz killer. I think game fans are just uniquely retarded honestly.

>>11837138 Yeah it's weird to have old magazine headlines live rent free in their heads like this. Except in this case, it's a tiny blurb on the cover.
Blinx is a good game, more competent than the sloppy Sunshine.
I do not look back fondly on this era of platformers, this, and that Australian animal game were ass.

>>11837140 The most notable thing about Blinx is the fact anyone for one moment thought he might be good enough for a mascot, that was of course before anyone actually played it. Pure Artoon slop, one of the shittiest developers in history.
>>11837143 >Kid Kirby What would it have been like?

>>11837115 (OP) The weirdest part was learning this game was developed by Japanese devs. It just has that japanese flavor in its engine that can't be emulated.
