I've owned a copy since 2006, is there anyone who doesn't know about this title? it's even been released in the US in the Namco Famicom/NES compilations for Switch

How many times have you made this thread?

Anyway this was one of the first Famicom games I imported when I got a famicom some 15 years ago. I had it CIB with all the stickers and shit but I sold it after I got a flashcart.

Great game, everyone should make sure they've been through the 2 hidden stages.

You've been at this since 2019. I understand wanting to talk about your favorite game, but couldn't you at least add a little variety to your posts?

Yeah I was getting deja vu thinking this exact thread was made before because I remember laughing about someone thinking this was some obscure hidden gem but I guess it's just a bit

I have never heard of this game before today. But I don't spend 8 hours a day on Internet forums.

Good game. Namco later entrusted Now Production with the "real" sequels to Splatterhouse on Genesis as well.

I didn’t know about it. What’s its title in the compilations so I can look at the gameplay and then forget again this ever existed.

Elekid is the only cool baby Pokémon. Not sure if Togepi counts, but I'd say it's OK, too, if only because it gets stupider with each evolution.

It's a fun little game, but very easy, likely among the easiest, if not THE easiest, NES/FC games I've ever played (yes, including Kirby's Adventure). I don't think I went to the secret levels when I played it, might do that when I give it another run. Even though the chibi-style parody horror game concept is fun and all, I certainly prefer the original arcade game, and even though it doesn't play as well, Monster Party is probably a more memorable take on the horror-parody platformer concept.

Togepi is fine because it's canon, the existence of baby forms of Gen 1 pokemon is too illogical to be acknowledged

I've definitely played easier games on the platform. I remember struggling in some parts to learn the game back then though at the time I wasn't quite as good as I am today, still I can think of several action platformers that are easier especially if you look at Japan only releases

The hidden stages are pretty short but worth checking out

Yeah they made a sequel that's a jrpg instead of a platformer, I remember watching the footage and it looked really fun but I can't remember why it was scrapped
