One of the most boring Toaplan shmups, just pure memo, space is always a boring environment for a shmup, and the ship movement speed is way too fast

no way. truxton absolutely mogs the shark/helicopter shooters (twin cobra is cool) and any of their horizontal shooters. the only toplan shooters that i consider comparable to truxton are the later more refined titles like batsugun, dogyun, grind stormer and maybe vimana or something

I think Zero Wing, Truxton, Batsugun and Twin Cobra are Toaplan's best shooters.

>Truxton is all around the best, gameplay, music, artistic style all are perfect
>Batsugun is up there with Truxton for the same reasons
>Twin Cobra is very well balanced and came before the rest, extremely influential game - Raiden copies it hard
>Zero Wing also well balanced, has excellent music and a very cool atmosphere, it's just so very early 90s, lots of variation in level design, legendary MD intro sequence, etc.

For me it's Slap Fight, Hishouzame, Kyukyoku Tiger, Dogyuun, and Batsugun.
