what went wrong?

Gt interactive didn't give them time to finish the game, so we ended up with an unfinished product, that's it.

It's clearly very unfinished, but all over the game there's things which make me think that they would still not have been good ideas if they got to just iron out some kinks.
I really hate Blood 2's design and concepts, it's full of really shitty ideas and concepts, and ones which are either badly executed on top of that, or unfinished.

The trick is to play on the easiest difficulty. Blood 2 becomes a really fun game.

It's incredibly unfinished. Some people try to look at the good side, but personally I dislike the entire game as a whole.

it never started for any of the 3 to 4 different PC's that I tried it on

I even downloaded patches and ran it with some app that disables and enters command lines to supposedly fix it and it only shows the logo then shuts off, whereas before it crashes and doesnt show a logo

makes me think its only compatible with some hardware/software combinations

The game's difficulty is outside common sense. Anything higher then easy and the extreme swings in RNG results in having a bad time.

Just play it on easy, that's where the game shines.

Unfinished game made by a developer who were unfamiliar with the tech they were working with. That is a recipe for disaster.
