Many of the events you have to do in the game are based on actual episodes from before the trailer fire incident that led to the show drastically changing from their early days:

They added the disclaimer a week before the trailer fire incident. If it that fire hadn't happened, some other incident within that timeframe would've been blamed and gone on to be cited as "the reason" B&B got toned down. For fuck's sake, only one or two of the banned episodes were even tangentially related to the incident.

ive always loved this game despite the jank. i always did the sewer level first to get it out of the way. looking back on this show, i always wanted to just watch the real episodes and not them watching music videos on the couch. but now its the opposite. i find their commentary more entertaining

This is my exact same post. I rented this game randomly when I was 7 because I thought the show was hilarious when they were farting, but I surprisingly thought it was a really good game. Now here I am running through tcrf and commenting on avgn because he dissed my game. Beavis and butthead commentary used to be legendary. Even after they rebooted the show it was still good. Their jokes are intentionally bad because they are a reflection of our culture, which is also intentionally bad.
