Worth buying a PS2 alone for this, just like Halo was worth buying an Xbox for.

For me it's Mace Griffin and Urban Chaos but Cold Winter is great too

I agree. But decent resolution cover art for this game is horrifyingly difficult to find online.

Its a good sand nigger killer sim but I don't know if its as good as Halo. It's more like a good spiritual successor to Soldier of Fortune. Its got some problems though like the movement is fucking slow as shit, the framerate is terrible, the motion blur is ridiculous, the controls are sluggish. I wish the 60 fps patch worked right on emulators. it works half the time until you hit combat then it takes a dive.

All of that is almost worth dealing with for just how satisfying the guns, the gore effects, and the ragdoll physics are. It's seriously one of the best feeling "brutal" FPS games ever made. It fucking destroys Soldier of Fortune 2 and as a military FPS it's so much better than that reddit slop Black which I think is overrated as fuck. I really wish it got a PC port.

Lately I've been playing through fps games that I overlooked on the ps2. Tried Area 51 and Turok evolution but was disappointed. Cold Winter was surprisingly good though.

007 - Agent Under Fire
Black
Cold Winter
Darkwatch
Half-Life (exclusive Decay EP + I think the campaign is worth replaying for its differences)
Killzone
Mace Griffin - Bounty Hunter
No One Lives Forever (some exclusive stealth missions)
TimeSplitters
Urban Chaos - Riot Response

These all range from good to great. Nightfire, Timesplitters 2 and Future Perfect as well as Medal of Honor - Frontline are best played on GameCube (MoH Rising Sun is also okay-ish).

There are still a few PS2 FPS games I need to play but I can't emulate PS2 anymore since my GPU died

There isn't much to choose from that already doesn't have a better version on PC or another console, or isn't complete shit.
>>11844698
I would say Darkwatch and Urban Reign are the last exclusives worth even trying, if he doesn't like those go to other consoles or PC for a way better experience

I could never play this game as I loved Mucky Foot's earlier Urban Chaos 3rd person action/adventure game, late from the prior gen.

>>11844457 (OP)
Warren Ellis wrote the story and Tom Baker (4th Dr Who) did some great voice work.

>>Mac Griffin
never got around to playing that one, I did like the look of the game and the whole space ship/fps hybrid thing it had from the gameplay trailers that came with the various magazines of the day

Still pretty good, minus the unskippable FMV bits inbetween levels.

Serious question, where did you and the influx of other /v/ tourists come from suddenly? Did a troll that wanted to shit up the board advertise it on your favourite discord or subreddit or something?
