For some reason this fucker makes me want to vomit. This is the only 3rd person game I have ever encountered that does it to me, and it looks like I'm not alone. I don't want to play it THAT bad, but I'm curious, does anyone else have similar experiences where certain games made you feel sick? Are there any solutions? Do sea sickness wristbands help?

have you tried playing on emulator without texture warping?

i can't recommend the remakes because the art direction is plain wrong

Play the japanese version. What you're going through happened to the vast majority of japanese focus testers and that version ended being changed drastically to make it playable for people with motion sickness.
A lot of people hate that version now, claiming it ruins the original game, especially because it peppers the whole game with sign posting and hint dialogue (which was also aimed at japanese children),
but at this point you should 100% give that version a go and see if it at least has any affect on your nausea.

what kind of display did you most recently play it on? a CRT often conceals much of the warping

It also halves Spyro's speed and slows the pacing down to a crawl, that's why people hate it

I have the same issue too. Got the game for Christmas this past year and I can’t play it for too long at a time.
Never had this issue with other 3D platformers like the Mario games, Ape Escape trilogy, or the SpongeBob games. I think when you do the ramming attack, that’s what really gets me.
Still pretty good game, love the environments and music. Haven’t beaten it, but I’ll have to go back to it.

Reignited on the whole is a grab bag in terms of quality, and I mostly dislike it, but this collage is disingenuous because those are pre-release screenshots, and they touched up basically all of those levels by the final release because people made their complaints known. As someone who has a lot of gripes with it, some of my favorite levels like Tree Tops and Fracture Hills turned out about as perfect as I could've asked for.

I got really bad motion sickness playing ratchet and clank 1 during the hoverboard races especially the first one you do, I was going for the trophies and you have to hit a certain trick in midair and the fucking camera just spins like crazy making me dizzy and lightheaded multiple times I had to lay down alot, very stressful

crazy i could have lived without ever learning this about one of my favourite games. i see what they mean too, the artstyle level design made me spin out as a kid, i remember particularly the dr shemp and one of the wizards levels, plus the treetop flying level all made me feel queasy.

I used to have that problem with many games. Then I realized i wanted to puked up whenever I felt like I didn't know how to progress the game or being totally lost. Now whenever I get that feel I just pull a walkthrough on YouTube to check how to continue
