Is bleemcast really the best way to play metal gear solid? Also let's talk dreamcast and Xbox ports that are the best.

I beat MGS this way, and would highly recommend it.

This. If you're going to emulate MGS, just use a modern damn emulator rather than a 30 year old one on a system that I assume you are still going to emulate itself. That's like emulating the Sonic collection on PS2 instead of just emulating the originals.

Either play it on an actual PS1, or use a modern emulator on your PC, don't bother with Bleemcast in 2025 on either real or emulated hardware.

Disregard the zoomers, bleemcast MGS1 and Tekken 3 are great even to this day.

It's got audio issues and it requires you to dedicate an entire VMU to save the game. You also need to use button combos to make up for the 3 missing buttons. I remember it randomly crashing on me a few times too. It's a cool novelty but just use an actual PS1 emulator if you want the higher resolution.
