Anyway the one I probably spent the most time with is NES Open. Almost zero wackiness. Just enough options and a save feature.

There's just something about NTM's overall atmosphere, all those great sound effects and music.

What is it about this year in particular for you. I know why it’s my all time favorite, even w all the shooters, having all 3 consoles of that gen and a decent enough PC to play most of the games releasing at the time and we still were hooked on this game for almost a year off the strength of its demo in a kiosk at a GameStop. 4 of us nerds who had never touched a golf club in our life and this game took over our group for almost a year. I still have all 4 of our saves and records on the hdd of my modded Xbox. Good times.
