>>11849107I don't like the great exaggeration that S4 is irredeemable garbage, that's all. Most episodes are still good despite having slightly worse writing and some feel like they came straight from the early days. Though consistency did die with S4, that I always noticed. Bad episode in S1-3 means it's just mediocre, bad episode in S4 and onwards means "prepare your anus". Yet another victim of the bizzare concept that you typically see with late 90s-early 2000s western animation where the showrunners suddenly go "Let's make an episode so fucking dogshit that it can kill any interest for the show for no reason at all". Really clueless to why this happened so often, as if they couldn't help themselves.
>When they rehashed the idea of a 24 hour krusty krab with the 23 hour krusty krab episode, I knew it was over.Fear of a Krabby Patty? It and Graveyard Shift are barely alike. It's a good episode. If you absolutely have to say "it's over", say it when you get to Good Neighbors.
>I'm sure that is or will be "true" by the time season 30 comes out.I'm willing to defend even more controversial seasons. Late 2000s Bob certainly feels different and I get why people draw the line at pre- and post- movie, but S4 has enough classic era-esque outliers to be considered at least a mixed bag IMO.
