Did anyone else play this? I remember really loving this game. Looking it up now, the reviewers weren't impressed with it, but me and my dad and my brother had a great time playing it together. It's like a stealth game where you have to take out all the robots in a level, and you can only kill them if you approach them from behind.

Traditional Carmen Sandiego is a pretty good game, I don't know why they gave up on it after the mid 90s and decided "You know, fuck solving a mystery with geography/history and warrants, let's make everything an adventure game from now on!"

Would be atleast interesting if you played as Carmen stealing historical and cultural artifacts, like a westernized Lupin the 3rd. The most recent game you do play as her, but its the shitty reboot modern design and for some reason you are a good girl fighting against VILE instead of its leader.

Hell, they should have just made a reverse Carmen game back in the day where the focus is on coordinating thefts.

Ok, what does that have to do with my comment about how they abandoned the core gameplay after a decade?

That's what every Carmen Sandiego game is, she's the villain and you're trying to catch her

It had fuckall to do with Carmen Sandiego, they just used her brand for marketing purposes. You don't even fight her, the game just ends with "she got away!"

Did anyone really give a shit about Carmen Sandiego in the mid 2000s, before "muh 80s nostalgia" really kicked in?
