Why does nobody talk about Yuji Naka's Sonic's actual port to the Saturn hard, not emulation?

Yuji Naka is a faggot has-been too soft to allow progress in the name of his fragile ego.

Assuming that you’re broken english means what I think it does, nobody talks about because it was lackluster. Sonic 2 especially clips along at an unsteady pace with artifacts on the sides of the screen and screechy sound. It’s not really enjoyable compared to the Genesis version. Including the spin dash in Sonic 1 is a neat idea, but of course its not necessary. That’s probably the highlight of the ports, a small novelty. Making easy modes was dumb. Saving was another good touch I suppose at the time. Including videos and promotional stuff from Sonic CD but not the game itself was messed up. The best part of the experience was the Sonic World part that lasted about ten minutes of collectathon action.
Basically because they are slightly inferior ports of games everyone had already played, there’s not much to talk about. I just play em on Genesis.

Because it came out late in the Saturn's life cycle and was only notable for both getting rid of that fucking barrel in S&K and also the Sonic World stuff.

No one cared about 16bits games ports or remakes during this era. And that was a good thing.

Literally what was the fucking point? Every sonicfag already played the originals in the genesis at that point

At least the ps2 collections you could argue it was for people that started the series with adventure or advance but who the fuck is buying a saturn to play their genesis games again?

I think Sonic Jam was made with Japan in mind, where Mega Drive underperformed but Saturn was still doing pretty strong. It was likely that a generic average Sega Saturn owner did not play Sonic games before.

SotN is substantially easier than most 16bit Disney games. Spiritually babyshit.

No idea but I like it. My only problem with it is I wish it had Sonic CD either as a bonus disc or in lieu of all of those commercials and Sonic World. Both are cool but CD is cooler.

actual port, not emulator run old code, but new. Yuji Naka and team really rewrite wholly classic Sonic engine for Saturn, using hardware direct. nobody talk for game hide it good, look like old, think emulate. Saturn not big popular outside Japan, so not see deep work they do. Real port, real work, but look too same nobody see hard not emulation.
