How would you do a third installment?

Green Goblin exists as a cameo in one of the levels in the first game where you find his lair and mask/bombs/glider and Hobgoblin is implied to exist in-universe in the training.

I would have it center around Green Goblin and Hobgoblin as the main villains and have it be about them fighting over control of NYC's underworld. Maybe Kingpin is involved too. Call it Spider-Man 3: Goblin War!

Other villains could be Kraven the Hunter and Vulture like in the first movie game, Alistair Smythe to go with Kingpin like in TAS, The Rose to pair with Hobgoblin, and Chameleon could also show up somewhere. Maybe Morbius?

Harry Osborn could be introduced as a supporting character as well.

I would have wanted more guest appearances by other characters like the FF Ghost Rider or Daredevil. The rest of the mavel universe wasn't getting their own games at the time so this would have been a good opportunity to get some characters off the bench.

You have to remember that it was heavily tied in with the TV show that was out at the time in art style, so you'd need to look at that.

I think probably the Morbius/Blade/Punisher storyline might be the one they'd have gone for.

it would have been a mix between: spider-man 1 psx, spider-man enter elektro, spider-man mysterio menace (gba) and spider-man 2002 on ps2.

It's like the first one but worse in every way, mostly the characters and situations, but the levels also. Except if you give them points for having being the first Spider-Man game where you can access the rooftops and streets at the same time which was pretty cool.
