There is no challenge from it. You grind up energy so you have max bombs, then go in and hope getting hit with the shots while firing off the bombs doesnt cause the glitch where the explosion effect does not register. Its just annoying.

NTA, but any Mega Man boss is not going to be challenging if you choose to do the most boring and safe strategy, aside from some particularly random ones. Boobeam is annoying, but doing it properly shows why it was considered at all, being that a boss focused on cramped platforming is interesting from a challenge standpoint. It could have definitely been better, but it's more interesting than easy and generic fortress bosses like in 5.

Even as someone who spent their childhood doing it the retarded way (break as many walls as possible, die then recharge off the spike room spawners) I still dont HATE it.

It's recorded with it enabled iirc.
That setting would only cover more than eight 8x8 sprites on a scanline, you would have to recode the game itself to not go over 64 sprites onscreen at once
