I got a second miyoo mini plus a few days after getting my first one, just as a backup and because the price was so fucking cheap at the time, (from aliexpress) I think it was about half of the current price.
Anyway, I want to swap the sd card that came with it for a decent make one. I WAS going to just buy one, install OnionOS and download one of the recommended rom collections that have been curated, but, I'm now wondering if I should go with my natural laziness and get something like this-

Ok- I hadn't even heard of SpruceOS until right this second, so, now I've got TWO questions-
1)
Is there any reason to do it from scratch rather than being lazy and getting something like I linked that has good feedback online?
2)
What is your opinion of SpruceOS? Should I look into it? Is it something that is considered superior by some of you?

It's a very close match to a proper Gameboy. I fucking love mine! It IS the first and only handheld emulation box I've owned or even played, so- it's very possible that it's nothing special and I'm just excited. I mentioned the price in my first post tho, I don't know why it was so cheap when I got mine, it was like $25 or there abouts.
I'm really interested in any of your opinions on SpruceOS vs OnionOS tho- like I said, I'd never even heard of SpruceOS before. Obviously I'll do some googling and see what the rest of the world's saying, but also very interested to see what (You) think.

I didn't have a good time with it, the theme kept going back to the default after a few days and the default SNES core had audio issues, and changing it wasn't easy. Might be better now but idk
