The closest game I can compare it to would be Majora's Mask, but even that's not entirely right. There's no combat, and the it plays like a series of fetch quests with puzzles here and there. Everything is tied to a global timer, so you need to take note of what happens where and when either by word of mouth or by witnessing it yourself.
My only issue with it was that there's scaling options for the PC version. It's 8:7 internally but displays at 4:3, like it did on PS1, but there's no interpolation so the uneven pixels and shimmering can be annoying sometimes.
