I need advice on how to get the highest possible score in SMB3 in five minutes so I can trounce all those losers and take the tournament's prize for myself.

Street Fighter is a wash I always sucked at fighting games I don't think I will even try.

Nintendo's priorities are absolutely fucked. A 1up is not more valuable than 8000 points. What should have happened is an award of 10,000, repeating for as long as you can keep it up with point based extends at 50,000, 150,000, one million, and NO MORE.
If you can't clear on 3 lives plus potential 3 extends then you're fucked as a mario player and need to go back to Mario 2 (USA) and clear that before attempting again.
3+3, that's all.
Toad houses are fucked.
1up items are fucked.
Warps are shit, dude.
All worlds. All levels. 3+3. Max score clear.
