I unironically grew up on Midimaze other primordial 3d games before Doom and Quake and I agree completely, GE64 4-player splitscreen was peak fun

Wrong title, you should've said "Project 64" or "Mupen64Plus".
"Nintendo 64" is shit at these games.

No.... far from it, there are a lot. PSX started getting FPS at launch in 1994 with Crime Crackers and (inb4 "that doesn't count") and continued to get some until 2002 at the latest iirc; which makes it a much larger window than on N64 with a greater variety of styles

>Crime Crackers 1 and 2
>Disruptor
>Kileak 2
>Brahma Force
>Medal of Honor + Underground
>Alien Ressurection
>Men in Black - The Series - Crashdown
>Delta Force Urban Warfare

Those are the highlights as far as exclusives are concerned, but there are more exclusives like Hybrid, Expert, Kileak, The World is not Enough (different game from the N64 version so it counts)

For a year or two, kind of yeah. Luckily Half Life came along and blew the cobwebs out of the PC scene.

Multiplats. You could just like play Medal of Honor and Timesplitters and Nightfire and stuff on the GC.
It's a shame it didn't really get it's own shooter, unless you count Geist. It's a shame Perfect Dark GC wasn't a game that happened, but what can you do?
