Honestly it's one of the most beautifully designed and packaged retro gaming products I have ever bought. Whoever made this, it's a labour of love. Highly recommended for anyone who loves 8 bit games and computers. 10/10

From the included games (and the hidden ones you get by playing them which is how I discovered doomdarks revenge) to the incuded issue of Crash mag, the manual cover the box, the keyboard (takes my original keyboard overlays) the system design, it is just fucking perfect. Blown away by this. Wonderful is too small a word. Knocked it out of the park.

I anyone involved in this is on this board then THANK YOU you made me very very happy :-). Huge smiles!

You either love old systems or you don't, th spectrum was huge part of millions of kids loves who went on to write a lot of the games you probably played ;-) The craft in getting an e.g isometric adventure to run well in 48K was a filter for the talentless.

10 "BASED"
20 GOTO 10

"Who is this for? Obviously the target audience is people like me who were there at the beginning and remember playing a lot of these games 40 years ago. Sure, there are free Spectrum emulators available online if you know where to look. But part of the nostalgic gaming experience is seeing a reproduction of the machine you remember sitting in front of your TV; and with The Spectrum you also get those legendary rubber buttons, feeling them squidge beneath your fingers as you hammer the leg sweep button in The Way of the Exploding Fist."

i JUST LOVE IT
For example, with a USB stick inserted into The Spectrum, switch to Classic Mode
and run the following:
10 PRINT โ€œTestโ€
Then save this simple program to USB stick with
SAVE โ€œtestโ€

just excellent

"The saving of BASIC programs is often followed by the saving of arrays and bytes.
For example:
DIM b(2,3)
SAVE โ€œarrayโ€ DATA b()
The contents of the data array b array will be saved to USB stick by being appended to
the end of the writable tape file currently in use, which in this case is the file created by
saving the BASIC program. This behaviour supports the common use case of having
a BASIC program first on a tape, followed by all the data it needs stored sequentially
as separate files on the same cassette tape.
In general, saving a BASIC program will define the .TAP filename used for subsequent
SAVE commands."

Cool to see it like that, I have the A500 mini, I had some fun but would it be so much trouble to have the interface look like its running on a real workbench system, I know these things aren't for us really but it takes me out of it to be constantly reminded that its not a real Amiga.

Theres is somthing to TJ Elephant antics that I admire, being so determined to make a game not suitable for the hardware but you just go ahead and do it anyway, real weak compared to things like not putting rez evil 2 on Saturn or not bothering to port to N64 for so many games. My fav game for it, its the game that made me buy an old speccy.
