1 was a good game with good music and complete ideas, and had Tiny Chao Garden. Very replayable. You can go so damn fast that the screen can't catch up. A lot of cool original level ideas. Farming money to feed chao is an experience I'm not trading for the other two. Ice Mountain is one of the better things I've heard on GBA despite being such an early release.

3 had some interesting ideas. Hubworlds are comfy if a little weird, music is pretty good. Collecting chao is controversial but I thought it gave the game an interesting reason to play the levels in different ways, and you only have to collect them once. The game and//or manual should have done a better job of explaining how special stage access worked. I liked the robot story. The levels can be cramped and platforming heavy, but it's an enjoyable challenge. First zone is kinda lame. Partner moves just felt like a cheat. The hub and chao system subtly discourage replaying the game.
2 is a mess, it promises speed to the extent even the level-end and bosses are running, but doesn't often let you enjoy it. Sky Canyon halts the fun harder than Marble Zone ever could in its wildest memes, what a filter. Special stage system is fucked, the special stages themselves are stupid, and you have to do everything for every attempt. Game makes you do way too much work to unlock the chao garden among other things. I like the idea of a map but it made everything seem sort of fake like a theme park. Cream is OP and lame, sorry creambros. The only thing I enjoy replaying is the boss rush on the final stage, which is admittedly cool. Seriously the special stages can fuck off.
