It has quite a few pretty obvious problems. Engagement farming threads (like OP's pic or [gamename] threads where OP doesn't actually say anything). Rampant retards that won't get perma'd because they are either sanctioned for engagement or hide in American dynamic IP ranges (reluctance of rangebanning American IPs). Some of the most desperate baiting/trolling on the website as if it's /b/ and it tends to work. Massive botting. Posters wanting to talk about anything but games is another issue.

People on here also switch off when someone effort posts (or become actively hostile) so all your left with is recycling and engagementslop that people feel "safe" to engage with.

There aren't actual proper mods, the moderation team is a bunch of discord trannies who hate the average poster and they only hire their kind. Hiro got his mod team from reddit mods, the people in charge of 4chan hate 4chan and its users. We already knew this but the hack made it even more obvious and they've been even more hateful since that.

PSP, DS and N-Gage are arguably retro.

The only problem this board has is the anti-Nintendo trolls, which might actually just be one person.

No, they are still selectively pruning threads. Dragon Age thread is now gone, same with Gears of War. I think another thread posting a 7th gen console game was deleted as well but I cannot recollect what it was. So this is deliberate upon moderation behalf. Even though I don't agree with the way the rules are going, moderation is still better than a lot of other boards that are either fairly absent, or heavy handed.
