Am I the only one that prefers Sonic 1 over 2? I overall thought the slower levels were a good change of pace, the music is so much better and memorable than sonic 2, and the controls in Sonic 1 just feel more weighty and interesting to learn how to control. Not having spindash means you had to learn how to manually build speed with level knowledge and jump timing.

Was never a Sonicfag, never even had a Genesis, but God I loved watching my friend play Sonic as a kid. The visuals just hooked me. I really disagree with the more realistic artstyle that overtook the series after Adventure, but I'm not really a Sonicfag s that's just an outsiders perspective.
