>>11864575 (OP)Panzer Dragoon Mini is the best one
but since it's not a 3D slop you won't find any posers talking about it
>>11864594I love how brazen you are.
>>11864575 (OP)Zwei > PD >>> Azel >>>>>>> Orta
>>11864607you forgot to rank Mini above them all
For me it is
Zwei > Orta > Azel > PD > Mini
No disrespect to Mini, but it's dogshit.
Yeah it's Zwei, at the end of the day.
Total panzer ludos.

>>11864575 (OP)personally like zwei > 1 > saga
not a fan of jrpgs, owned it about a decade ago and really did not care for it
Missing some effects from the Saturn original but otherwise a pretty kino package for 2500yen (goes for way more nowadays)
>>11865923Yeah, that's what i was doing tonight, and it was not a speedrun ;)
Well it’s weird comparing an RPG to rail-shooters. I think I emulated mini once and it was shit, definitely the worst.
Although Orta was released only like 7 years after the first two and 5 years after Saga it feels not quite part of the series. The story feels like a pieced together fan fiction and the music isn’t as great. The simple story of the first two never bothered me. Completely morphing your dragon at the press of a button is a pretty wild mechanic, but it makes it interesting. Collecting those dna things wasn’t that great of an addition, just another exercise in memorization. That said, the gameplay and bosses are really solid. The game was packed with content, and there was plenty of depth. Its the only one that feels like it has enough levels.
The original has a lot in common with even older games. It was like bringing rail shooters into the fifth console generation and it did a great job. I mean, Starfox wasn’t that old when this amazing game was released and its lightyears ahead. Best music in the series. Just a great, straightforward rail shooter best played for score. I still haven’t gotten 100% shot down on every level on hard, its an arcade game that you can keep coming back to.
Zwei is probably the crown jewel of the series. Improved on the first in nearly every way. The dragon morphs seem cool here because they’re tied to performance. Alternate paths was a great idea. On-foot sections are interesting. Music is different from the first but still great. The enemy placement and bosses is perfect. When the only complaint I have is that its not longer, that means its a great game.
Saga is a great RPG for people like me who get bored with most RPGs. Interesting story, cool graphics for the time and an engaging, unique combat system. Cool environments and secrets.
So I guess Zwei>Original>Saga>Orta>Mini
Compring next gen Orta to old school PD is weird too because of course there’s more content and tighter gameplay, but less soul.
