Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance only released on the PS2 acually. At the time consoles were generally ahead of most PCs. It doesn't get good until Not Retro. But if you really need to know the appeal, it's like a singleplayer/coop MMO, where every mission is like a big raid that requires a lot of pre-planning and strategy, with a big dopamine random loot at the end to upgrade your character. People also really love the monster design. Similar to Mechtards, there are Dragon/Monster/Dinosaur autists who just love big cool looking animals instead of sci-fi robots. So if you aren't into those things, it makes sense you wont really be into Monster Hunter

Thanks for reminding me of the terribly misleading and disappointing title. SMT has monsters, Dragon Quest has monsters, even Pokemon has monsters. MH has fugly western dragons and some dinosaurs.

I played this for a bit on emulator and it was alright until the insane slow down going to different zones. Not sure if it was emulator or just how it is on hardware. My pc is like a decade old. Is it like that on actual PS2? Might get it if not.
