Somebody please fucking explain how this and Parappa are supposed to work. I just beat Lammy on Mednafen, twice in a row, but I couldn't tell you how this shit is supposed to work.
I know they are infamous for having awful timing windows, but that can't be the only issue. I know you're also supposed to "freestyle" but that part also makes no sense. Rhythm games are my expertise, to boot. I have like a 16 nps on Stepmania and have 5 starred the guitar hero trilogy on expert with a regular controller, but I can't make sense of this.

In the last few levels of UJL you're better off just freestyling than following the button prompts. Especially on the nursery song.

Never played Lammy, but for Parappa at least I can tell you
