Chaos Seed is cool, definitely one of the best looking games on the system.

Super R-Type, a lot of people hate it because of the slowdown but its one of the funnest shooters for me. Its a remixed version of R-Type 2. R-Type 3 I thought had too many cutscenes that you have to wait for each time you die.

There's not that many games for it. You can give each of them 5 minutes without it costing a lot of time. I've spent longer watching every episode of The Simpsons

I'm gonna be honest, 4th gen was bleak. People love to shit on 5th gen for muh janky 3D and suck off SNES/Genesis to no end for a bunch of garbage sidescrollers and chibi character RPGs, but almost none of them hold up, and PS1 alone has more 2D games worth playing than SNES and Gen combined.

I've never actually played it, but Actraiser 2 looks fucken sick and it's not brought up here very often. I think it has a reputation of being difficult, but it has a high skill ceiling.

>Ogre Battle: The March of the Black Queen is a 1993 real-time tactical role-playing game developed by Quest Corporation. Originally published for Super NES by Quest in Japan and by Enix America in North America. It is the first installment of the Ogre Battle series. It was directed by Yasumi Matsuno, and designed by Matsuno with Akihiko Yoshida.
This is one I'm planning on, once I'm done with Ogre Battle 64, and I'm ready to invest time and focus on a new game. Seems like it's still quite unique, in the sense that there aren't many games like it.

Ganbare Goemon 2 is the best game on the system and nobody ever talks about it. The Goemon games on the N64 are also the best games on that system.

>underrated
Pretty much nothing is underrated anymore. The SNES is the worst console to go looking for underrated or hidden gems, but it is the best way to play Wizardry I-III

Most people in the west barely know dick about the SFC exclusives. Even the ones that do, its usually from playing untranslated shit on stuff like zbattle ages ago.
>>11870378
Yep. SFC/N64 was the golden age for Goemon imo, even if some were better than others.

There's only Super Saiyajin Densetsu (which is a remake of DBZ1 and 2 for Famicom). But there's also the 2 Super Gokuuden which are hybrid quiz games and hybrid RPGs, really cool and worth playing for DB fans. They're fan favorites in Japan.

I actually agree with you. I've spent the last 25 years combing through NES/FC roms and have found so many obscure games that are really fun. Not so much the case with SNES/SFC roms. It's mostly the really good games everyone knows, a handful of the lesser knowns like Demon's Crest that are decently fun, and anything genuinely obscure seems to be so for a very good reason. Even the bad games aren't as funny as the bad NES games.
