No.
I remember dropping them when I played as the guy with a gun multiple times.

there is no reason to play this when the superior remake (a pseudo remake) Blood Curse exists
or better yet just skip it and go to the vastly superior sequel

Not hard but obtuse.
Game take place from several points of view.
The kicker is that each scenario has a primary mission and once completed you move to the next. Eventually you come back to the same scenarios but now it has a secondary mission that unlocks new events butbif you dont you get sent to the same scenarios until you complete the secondary mission.
Spooky ass game though.

The american characters makes it feel like a completely different game.

>complete bullshit secondary objectives
>if you miss any you have to replay entire missions
>apparently you have to get ALL of the archives to get the true ending but all of the items you get in a mission are lost if you die, even if you reach a checkpoint
>you die in a couple hits
>escort missions, in a game like that, enough said
>all that and the game is also not 8-10 hours long like a regular survival horror title, it apparently takes 20+ hours to beat
Yeah nah I'm sorry Toyama. It feels like this game was specifically designed to not be enjoyable

I couldn't even beat it with a guide.
My family room TV back in the day was dark as fuck, even at the brightest settings. Certain parts of the Silent Hill games I had to play by ear because they were so fucking dark. Siren didn't make any sense and even when I looked up guides I couldn't do things properly because I'd get lost in the blackness and then something would kill me.

Kuon would've literally been a black screen most of the time on your TV then

I had to accept that this just isn't a good game. It has quite a bit going for it like aesthetically its very unique and is actually pretty creepy atmosphere, but the game design is pure swamp ass. Its like a girl that looks cute but has severe BPD.

You'll think it's not too bad at first but eventually you'll hit some really obtuse shit
You'll need to accept that you'll have to use a guide at some point

It's a memorable game, even though it's kinda bad. Mostly because you have to restart levels so many times. I like the level where you're in a house and there's a ghost freak in the hallway.

I can only imagine autists of the highest caliber would've been able to finish the game without any sort of help.
