This is barely even a game. It's a strategy "game" for the kinds of "people" who bitch about APM requirements in REAL-TIME strategy games. It's a "strategy" ""game"" for people who hate strategy. Like a first person shooter without the shooting. It's practically a movie game.

Now I know where the flash game Miragine War got its sprites and the basic idea of the game. Only they replaced the generals with crystals and focused only on the aspect of recruiting and sending troops into battle. I always thought the sprites in that game were cool and wondered if they had come from somewhere

I don't know who would take this over Age of Empires or Civ.

After having played the story of each nation, the appeal for me is to just assemble a team i like and try to defend one part of the map by giving away all captives to enemy armies. That's why i said last thread that this game would greatly benefit from a romhacking community, a randomizer alone would be a lot of fun, allowing every combination of starting generals and starting areas, or modes with improved AI.

Completely different games, Dragon Force is not really an RTS and mostly plays like a turn based game, even if units move in real time you have all the time you need to make your choices, which to me is more fun.
