Dragon Slayer: Legend of Heroes and Dragon Slayer: Legend of Heroes II have not been translated.

There's historical simulations that nobody cares about like Sangokushi Retsuden
Dunno if you'd call those "story heavy" though they're a pain to play if you can't read them

Turbografx versions for 1 and 2 are great, arguably the best versions even. I haven't done a full playthrough of anything outside the PC-98 and Turbografx versions of both but everything outside of those (except maybe Windows, never messed with it but seems fine) ranges from passable poor man's version (Mega Drive) to shit (SNES/PS1/SS)
