It was still gonna launch in '99, regardless of being on the Saturn. By summer '97 retailers stopped stocking the console and actively pushed consumers towards the PS1 and N64. I asked for a Saturn for Christmas '97 and got a PS1 with FF7 instead. My parents saved me.

It wouldn't have done shit to help the Saturn, but it's a shame it's never leaked. It'd be interesting to see how much they actually made, given there's a ton of Shenmue II stuff in the existing footage.
