Super Circuit perfected the tokyo drift introduced in Mario Kart 64. To me DS feels so goddamn slow even in 150cc, and speeding up from your opponents windstream makes no sense. As a DS title, it's a good one among many.

Double Dash was fun with friends, especially the balloon mode, but embarrasing to play on your own and less fun than fapping. It's Mario KART, not fucking Mario baby strollers and lowrider hotrods and shit. Now they got us racing motorcycles cross country and shit.

MK64 also features drafting. It's not as obvious, but if you stay behind another kart for long enough you'll get a speed boost and see wings of smoke on either side of your kart as you speed up.

I finished this game recently and thought it was ass (especially the lazy way the “retro” tracks are put together) but along the way I noticed a minor detail that was probably lost in translation, and idk if anyone even noticed it before, but in the JP version I played, the credits are written differently for each cc. hiragana in 50cc, katakana in 100, and English letters in 150. I looked at tcrf and they don’t mention this despite having all sorts of other autistic details listed, so maybe I should join their team of no life trannies who pick apart minute autistic differences between game versions.

This and MK64 are the only good ones in the series.
