Nintendo has quite possibly had the worst transition to 3D after playing most of their game. Almost all their core franchises like pic related failed to replicate and understand what made their original 2D counterparts so good.
I mean I can see SM64 and Prime but how is OoT a bad transition? It's a great fucking transition to 3D, like can you even name a better transition of an old franchise to 3D?
Old good, new bad: the post
Anyway, to save your shitty thread, you do have SOME pointโyes, all these were drastically different from their 2D counterparts. But that said, these were still amazing games. If anything, in recent years, all Nintendo tried to do was bridge that gap between 2D and 3D entries in their franchises. And? The results were mixed, Mario 3D World proved that not many actually wanted Mario to play "exactly like 2D but in 3D".
And vice versa, countless franchises tried to translate their gameplay exactly to 3D, only for it to flop spectacularly.

>>11876384Yeah, really tired of this 0 effort shitposting trend. It started after the 2020 rule change btw
>>11876357 (OP)go play megaman legends or castlevania 64 sometime and get back to me about bad transitions.
>>11876419OP is a retard but still MML is supposed to be a separate action-adventure franchise set in the MM universe. I'd say that the one and (thank fucking god) only actual transition to 3D was X7 and yeah...
>>11876419>castlevania 64Actually liked it better than SM64. Especially the re-release one.
>>11876492congrats on the epic contrarianism. you are very cool, sophisticated and intelligent, and not at all mentally ill.
