Are Yugioh games good?

(Except that shitty one on PS1 obviously)

I'm wondering if I should get Power of Chaos for PC or Legacy of a Duelist for PC, since they look the best and I'm not really a handheld fag.

I'm just concerned that the grinding will be crazy.

Emulate one of the GBA games. They're great if you want a pre-synchro game.

>I'm wondering if I should get Power of Chaos for PC or Legacy of a Duelist for PC
Both are shit. Power of chaos is one boring opponent with grind and legacy of a duelist is 50+ duels with atrocious/broken decks.
>I'm not really a handheld fag
Asking for good yu gi oh games and not being into handhelds is being a fag.

I could emulate I guess, I just don't like the shitty low-res graphics. Do you recommend the recent collection that was released?

NTA but I enjoyed Stairway to the Destined Duel, probably the first YGO game I played with IRL rules before the power creep really kicked in.
I am replaying Forbidden Memories now and the grind is unreal. Have to replay Duelist of the Roses since I barely remember it from when I first played it way back in the day.

I hope they come out with a early days collection 2 with most of the console games from that age.

at this point i'd just recommend the early days collection.

the only games you're missing from the collection is nightmare troubadour, duelist of the roses, capsule monsters chess & falsebound kingdom.

I played the shit out of this one as a kid. The rules are completely different and the ingame documentation on what things do is dogshit, but it's pretty fun once you get used to it. It was always funny how Kuriboh would always defeat a Blue Eyes White Dragon

Stairway to the Destined Duel on the GBA was my favorite.

to be very specific it's:

Capsule Monster Chess (PSX)
Forbidden Memories (PSX)
Duelist of the Roses (PS2)
Falsebound Kingdom (GC)
Dawn of Destiny (Xbox)
Capsule Monster Colosseum (PS2)
Nightmare Troubadour (DS)

2006 is the best yu gi oh Nintendo handheld game. Best ai and actual decent decks for the AI.
If you just want the most cards you go for the last ds game, i think it was 2011 or 2012.
If you want unique stuff, you get dark duel stories.
PSP wise, just pick any tag force from 1-6 that fits the era you liked.

Non handheld wise:
Ps2: Monster colosseum with the libra mod is a decent srpg. Roses is interesting but nothing special.
PC:Link evolution with any mod of your choosing. They change the decklists to be something decent.

For GBA you have two choices.
If you want a story oriented game along with having an absolute shit deck and slowly upgrading it then Yugioh GX Duel Academy is good.
If you want to face off against a bunch of gimmick decks a have a selection of starter decks that have good cards then play Yugioh Ultimate Masters World Championship Tournament 2006. It also has theme duels you have to build a deck around and duel puzzles with a set up board and you have to figure out how to win on that turn.

I've been reading it on my phone at work. It's a lot of fun experiencing the story as intended. No 4kids censorship or other changes made during the anime production.

Someone storytimed it a couple years ago on /a/, loved the part before the card game became a hit more but still a pretty good read.

legacy of the duelist and it's not even close.
You can play old school story stuff (og/gx) and then try out 5ds with synchro, zexal with xyz, etc. if you want later.
ost is really good to just relax and chill to, ui/ux is all great too.
Make sure you get link evolution since it's the updated version.
