This game was good until that fight in the field against Braff. What the fuck were they thinking? Fuckin atrocious game "design".

I don't remember what fight specifically you're talking about, but for me only Disc 2 had some real bullshit. I thought Disc 1 was the best of the trilogy.

Most of the enemies won't attack you unless you go in range so all you have to do is pick a side, either left or right, and start from there. Just don't try to go in the middle or to take them all out at once

Good job. Trust me though this is nothing compared to some of the shit Disc 2 pulls mid way through, but if you keep going it will redeem itself (the ending is pretty good and so is disc 3).
In Disc 2 you should promote your characters as early as possible btw
